Hi CathyGage,

Wow that's one expensive cost of one vial, I looked it up, $14,000 Wow!
My friend Cathy received a grant, many are out there. Since Zejula is a PARP inhibitor, have you been tested for HRD?
Hope the following data below will help you: Sometimes a Cancer Clinical Center can help and even your hematologist/oncologist.
OK here goes:

How to Get Zejula for Under $2,000

Most patients do not pay the full retail price due to the following programs:
Manufacturer Patient Assistance (Uninsured/Underinsured):

The GSK Oncology Patient Assistance Program provides Zejula at no cost to eligible patients who meet specific financial criteria and lack adequate insurance coverage.
Commercial Co-pay Program:

For those with private insurance, the ZEJULA Co-pay Program can reduce out-of-pocket costs to as little as $0 per month, subject to an annual benefit cap (typically around $26,000).

Medicare Out-of-Pocket Cap: Starting in 2025, the annual out-of-pocket limit for Medicare Part D dropped to $2,000, meaning once you hit this limit, the plan covers 100% of the medication cost for the rest of the year.

Prescription Advocacy Services: Programs like Prescription Hope claim to obtain Zejula for a set service fee of $70 per month for eligible individuals by working directly with manufacturers.

Free Trial Program: New patients may be eligible for a one-time 30-day supply at no cost through the ZEJULA Free Trial and Dose Modification Program.

I hope you are able to get the chemo you need!
Sending hugs, Kaye

What is Zejula used for in ovarian cancer treatment?

Zejula (niraparib) is a PARP inhibitor used as maintenance therapy for ovarian cancer. PARP inhibitors block a protein that cancer cells use to repair damaged DNA, which can lead to cancer cell death.

Zejula is typically prescribed after you've completed platinum-based chemotherapy with good results. It's unique among PARP inhibitors because it doesn't require a specific biomarker to be used, though it works especially well for people with BRCA mutations.

The medication is taken as a pill once daily at home, which offers convenience compared to IV treatments. Studies have shown that Zejula helps extend the time before cancer returns (progression-free survival), particularly in people with BRCA mutations.

Common side effects include:
* Anemia (low red blood cell counts)
* Thrombocytopenia (low platelet counts)
* Neutropenia (low white blood cell counts)
* Nausea

Your oncologist will consider your overall health, treatment history, and other factors when deciding if Zejula is right for you.
