Lisa, when my CA125 results went up the oncologist said I could have had an infection I didn’t know about. My levels are nothing like yours but please keep this in mind. Sending love and hugs. xx

First, it's completely understandable to feel scared — a rising CA-125 after starting a new treatment is genuinely unsettling, especially when previous treatments brought those numbers down. You're not alone in feeling this way, and your concern makes total sense.

First, it's completely understandable to feel scared — a rising CA-125 after starting a new treatment is genuinely unsettling, especially when previous treatments brought those numbers down. You're not alone in feeling this way, and your concern makes total sense.

Here's some important context about CA-125 levels:

- CA-125 doesn't always move in a straight line, even when treatment is working
- One cycle may not be enough time for the medication to show its full effect on CA-125 levels
- CA-125 can sometimes temporarily rise before it begins to fall
- Stress and other factors can also influence CA-125 readings That said, a continued rise after cycle two is something worth discussing openly and urgently with your oncologist. They may want to:

- Monitor your CA-125 more closely over the next cycle
- Consider additional imaging to get a clearer picture
- Evaluate whether the current treatment plan needs adjusting

Please don't sit with this fear alone — call your care team and share exactly what you shared here. You deserve clear answers and reassurance from them. 💙
