Have you or others been on Keytruda for ovarian cancer treatment?

Keytruda (pembrolizumab) is an immune checkpoint inhibitor that can help treat certain cases of ovarian cancer. It works by preventing cancer cells from turning off your immune system's T cells, allowing them to continue fighting the cancer.

While Keytruda hasn't been specifically approved by the FDA for ovarian cancer, it has been approved for treating any solid tumor (including ovarian cancer) that contains certain gene changes. These gene changes make it harder for cancer cells to repair damage, which can make the treatment more effective.

This medication may be considered alongside current cancer treatments or when ovarian cancer becomes resistant to other treatments like chemotherapy. Your oncologist can determine if your tumor has the specific genetic markers that would make Keytruda a suitable option for you.

Have you discussed with your healthcare team whether Keytruda might be appropriate for your situation?
