Shawna Malkoff, 45, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 42. She has two children, ages 5 and 8, and lives in Rhode Island. She works full time as a physician while undergoing treatment (now third-line, in a phase 1 clinical trial). Malkoff, who has undergone multiple experimental treatments alongside conventional treatments, is now platinum resistant and emotionally trying to navigate this aspect as well.
